Wild & Lovely - A foraging and lunch experience

We are delighted to invite you to a unique and delightful event, “Wild & Lovely: A Foraging & Lunch Experience,” brought to you by Core Green, Mulberries, and Friends of the Earth. This event promises a wonderful day connecting with nature, learning about wild greens, and enjoying a delicious foraged lunch.

Here are the event details:

Date: Saturday 2nd of March 2024

Time: 10.30 - 4.30pm

Venue:  Mulberries, Haz-Zabbar.  The Mulberries is an experience in itself!

Programme

10:30 AM: Meet & Spritz

11:00 AM: Foraging presentation - Know your wild greens.

12:30 PM: Lunch - chickpea soup with fennel fronds, nettle risotto, wild salad with bread, olives.

2:00 PM: Walk and test your knowledge by foraging your own leaves.

3:30 PM: Mulberries for tea and checking leaves.

Cost: €35.  Proceeds in support of the Comino Bakery Restoration Project by Friends of the Earth.

Ethical Foraging Guidelines: Ethical foraging is key to preserving our natural environment. Please follow these guidelines:

• Prepare and learn about the ecosystem
• Do not leave any garbage or litter
• Consider carrying an extra bag for clean-up
• Avoid altering the landscape (e.g., chopping down trees, disturbing nests)
• Be in reciprocity with the land
